What the trail will bring.  The Weight on your back.  The Weight of the equipment. Good shoes. You end with effort, patience, good joss, bloody feet, and a smile

This journey has its own pace and its own rewards.

Photographs become momentary events on a lonely magnificent trail.

Step by step. Photo by photo. The light is determined by the position of the sun. The place where you are determines the photo. There is no waiting on the trail.  The scene presents itself.  Your eye says yes. Hands remove the instrument from its place anchored to your chest.  You elevate and melt into your art. Breathe.

There you are.

Your days are numbered. There is only so much food. So much strength.  So many bandaids.  You are in constant motion.
